WHY TICKS.... & TRUST?
Fighting Lyme with a Fearless Heart

when i started this blog in 2007, it was about MY journey with Lyme Disease. never could i ever have imagined that this journey would grow to include the diagnosis of lyme in my children.

the subsequently profound illness of 2 of our 3 children since 2009 and then our dog in 2012 (i kid you not!) and my additional diagnosis of PANDAS in spring 2014 has catapulted us into a whole other dimension. You can read more about our family's story at MEET THE GOERTZENS.

while my blog is no longer just about "my fight", the premise and goal of our journey still remains the same...to allow this journey to teach us to live life with ...

endurance. perseverance. joy. courage. hope. trust. fearlessness. humor.

at the onset of this journey, God promised me total and complete healing. i believe that promise.

Proverbs 3:5-7

Trust God from the bottom of your heart:

Don’t try to figure out everything on your own.

Listen for God’s voice in everything you do, everywhere you go;

He’s the one who will keep you on track.

Don’t assume that you know it all.

Run to God! Run from evil!

Your body will glow with health,

Your very bones will vibrate with life!

ultimately our Lyme journey is about learning to completely and unreservedly TRUST God...i am learning that when I choose to TRUST, it is then that I am able to fight Lyme with a fearless heart.
